About Me

I have been a member of the Honor Elementary School Community including students, parents, community members and staff, and have watched relationships grow and flourish.

From students I have learned that every "need" is important in their eyes and should be acknowledged. Each student is a unique individual to be treated with respect.

Parents have been helpful and willing to work together to contribute to the education of their children.

Community members have strengthened the “school-community” partnership by attending monthly Elders meetings.  The Elders program has been near and dear to my heart since its inception years ago at Herman School, a learning community I was a part of for twenty-five years.

At Honor Elementary, staff members share their expertise as we cooperate daily to educate the children.

Of course, being a part of this community wouldn’t be possible without the love and support of my husband and three adult sons.

It may be cliche, but the phrase "It takes a village to raise a child," is exemplified by this school community that I am honored and privileged to be a part of.
