Beginning in February of 2023, the HNR Board of Education and administration engaged in an in-depth facilities study of District through the contracted services of HSR architects and Kraemer Brothers Construction. The intent of the study was to develop an understanding of and clear approach to maintaining facilities long-term, specifically for the next 20 years. The study considered both existing HNR Elementary and HNR Intermediate sites and properties as they currently operate as well as an option of a single 4K-8 site serving the entire District. This page contains the information gathered from the study as well as future planning for the District.

 

 

On November 15, 2023, the HNR Board of Education approved moving forward with a capital referendum vote on April 2, 2024. Specifically, the District is seeking to issue general obligation bonds in an amount not to exceed $23,000,000 for the public purpose of paying the cost of a school building and facility improvement project consisting of: construction of additions, renovations, building infrastructure and site improvements, and acquisition of furnishings, fixtures, and equipment to create a single campus at the current intermediate site.
